11am... up and out for lunch then home for a quiet afternoon and evening.  Leofwyna headed downstairs for another sewing session.  It was nice enough to get Bonnie outside on the long-lead for a little while in the afternoon.  We discussed the upcoming trip in April and the likelihood the procedure cannot happen before then.  A decision was reached that Bonnie and I would stay home while she dealt with this pair of merchanting events on her own.  We both wanted to try to make it work for me to go but several additional details helped us both to decide otherwise.  I.E. space in the RAV for product between home and St Louis where she'll pick up the camper being the primary consideration.

10am,,,sunny.  Out for lunch and milk.  Prepared the pill packs for the trip and pill setts for another three weeks after the trip. No need to order more until after the trip.  Leofwyna spent a considerable amount of time on the phone with the motel in Gatlanburg and that four day treat fell through to her disappointment.  She's decided to go to see the Biltmore estate in North Carolina after all since we'll have the time.  I finally made contact with Dee on Facebook; got her phone number and we may meet her during upcoming trip through Tennessee.  Didn't walk Bonnie until it cooled some at dusk, otherwise a quiet afternoon and evening with Leofwyna working on merchandise downstairs.

11am... a lovely, hot day.  Leofwyna slept late too so I ate at home and was late going for my errands.  Home again with stuff for our supper.  Walked Bonnie.  Learned our trip north this month will be14-31; Bonnie comes too.  Later in the evening as I worked on Ancestry it occurred to me that going to Canada would require passports; ours are out of date so this trip is impossible.  Broke the news to Leofwyna and she's prepared to rework her next trip... elsewhere.

9am, promises to be a nice day.  It's definite we're leaving next Monday for Trimaris coronation and we have motel reservations for Bonnie and I while there.  Leofwyna is determined to see manatees this time.  We may stop at the Calontir coronation on the way home.  Went with Leofwyna to take her RAV to the shop (trip prep) so I could take her home again before making a run to the grocery store (tried new recipe in crock pot... was okay) then downstairs to finish sorting/folding plastic bags ready to get out of the house.  After supper downstairs started working on tree blocks again.  Kinda forgot how I was doing them so have to refigure my technique.

Mar. 9th, 2023 10:40 am
10:15 to a gloomy, grey day.  Today is Leofwyna's turn to run errands so Bonnie and I headed downstairs where I finished the second sniglets top and finished up some more four-squares for the Triple Treat.  There's sixteen+one+one in the pile for Aurora now.  I'm thinking when I hit twenty to let Opal C know and switch myself to the Nadelstern projects before I run out of time!  Magmor tonight was a business meeting with a small turnout as the weather was heading to the bad so there was only seven of us at supper, Appleby's.  By the time we were done it was too late for Gerald to get in a nap at our place so he headed on to work.  People are beginning to head out for Gulf Wars, Leofwyna has us heading to Trimaris Coronation at the end of the month.

11am, up and out for Tuna Frenchees then library, 27th Street Good will (shrug, 3 sweaters, bra, big safety pins) and made a  haircut appointment since they were busy today.  Stopped in at 24-hour too and they're willing to switch the plates for me but were too busy just then so I need to go back.  Went to the library for one computer session, found 401A manual is 144 pages... too much to copy out there; reported this to Leofwyna.  At home Leofwyna was already downstairs sewing so I continued making sniglet blocks to add to the top and finished netting it.  Started the horizontals late but ran out of time at 3/4s.  Plans for a trip south at the end of March are proceeding.

Monday

Aug. 30th, 2022 11:27 am
Up and out to lunch then to the library for several sessions including ancestry.  Leofwyna caught up with me there to register for merchant at the Great Western War in October.  We headed to Asian Buffet for supper.  Back at home I walked around the block then went downstairs to finish one Triple Threat top and proof the blocks for the second.  I began webbing up the second before bedtime.

Friday

Feb. 19th, 2022 03:01 pm
Up and breakfast... measured the rod for the sunshade and got the hose connected for Leofwyna to water.  Gulf Wars merchanting is confirmed so Leofwyna is cancelling Colorado trip.  I spent time on the laptop and after supper headed downstairs to finish up the dark on light Wonky Stars.
Wednesday (9:30, alarm) Richard came to give me an estimate for mowing, $35, so I accepted and the lawn is done this week. Headed out for lunch and library time, then returned to the house for a nap before heading across town for more library time before largess moot. I worked up the five scroll covers I had boards for and took on some jacket mending for Gerald. When the others headed to Teriyaki for supper I peeled off to Red Robin for a salad. Leofwyna is planning a trip to Illinois for Known World to market in September, shall I go? Maybe if it ties in with Asa's Viking museum thing in Minnesota, also in September. I'm thinking Colorado won't be happening in August after all.
Tuesday up about 11:30 but stayed in all day downstairs on the home computer and some at the sewing table. Commenced on processing the fresh-ironed pile of frips for storage. At supper with Leofwyna she expounded on travel plans upcoming. She's signed up for two different sets of combinations where we sit through sales spiels which we can certainly hear without any temptation whatsoever but we'll receive several travel breaks in return. A Cozemel cruise, St. Petersburg, Hawaii and various others are apparently in my future.
Tuesday being pleasant (but not sunny) I headed out to get the car licensed, go to lunch and stop in at the south Goodwill where I found way more to bring home than I probably should have. This included a bushel for the garden, a purse, a couple wooden boxes (to make over for largess), a card compact, a taupe shawl, a file purse (for the gift drawer), and I don't remember what all. I got to FoodNet in good time but our row was nearly last so things were rather picked over. I got a hand of decent bananas, a tomato, poppy seed rolls, and key lime cookies. Leofwyna showed up to let me know she was going to Fibre Arts and was convinced to go through the line too. More bananas and I don't know what else but I'll be making banana bread tomorrow. While at the sewing table working on Kronberg blends Leofwyna was thinking aloud about how we might manage Gulf War and New Orleans this year. in just a couple weeks. Sounds like we'll be going!
Monday was a lovely, sunny day and I headed out for lunch and computer time at the library. (No problem with the one at home.) When I got back I trundled the camper into the garage to surprise Leofwyna. When I opened it up inside the garage I cleared the rest of my things out of it. Leofwyna had voiced a desire for 'new' potatoes and peas when she saw me sorting and de-sprouting potatoes so that's what I made for supper tonight with smoked porkchops; a really easy meal. At the sewing table I'm still putting together kronberg blocks. We may be heading west sometime in March and I want these assembled so I can get the pile out of the house.

Monday was Leofwyna's birthday so we drove up to Omaha where Pla Too's for lunch and an afternoon at the Henry Doorley Zoo and Imax were my treats for her.  It was an overcast day and the rain came in while we were in the Imax but the temps were fine and we had a good day.  The zoo closed at six so we hit a couple Thrift Worlds before going to The Cheesecake Factory for supper.  We love the lettuce wraps there.  A rainbow sprouted out of Leofwyna's head... she was sitting in front of a window and it was a gloreously high and wide double rainbow for her birthday.  During the drive up and back she started a review of all our trips through the years... beginning with travels with the folks when we were kids.  We've been very fortunate in being able to see so much.  We're always ready for more and are planning for future trips.  Back home at the sewing table I continued cutting solid strips.  We learned the storm here in Lincoln was much worst than Omaha.  There was a funnel cloud in SE Lincoln that didn't touch down but brought some baseball-sized hail.  There's areas in town with roads closed due to flooding.  We're pleased that the gutter noodles are doing their job.  We found no sign of moisture anywhere inside.

Sunday I finished the green linen Byzantine for Leofwyna, then Monday I altered it by narrowing the shoulder seams a total of four inches.  Tuesday I started putting together the cranberry red cotton velveteen doublet for camera key.  Zino approached me at supper following fighter and fiber about embroidering the bull on a herald's document folder for baronial court.   Also at supper Leofwyna and I were sitting with Killian and Kristi talking vacations past and future which has Leofwyna thinking about where else we might go this year in addition to the two trips to Colorado and the trip to the 50th Celebration in Indiana.  I can see how gardening, preparing for and running a rummage sale, and building the glasshouse is going to get crowded somewhat, not to mention lawnmowing and canning.

Thursday I sewed up the wine tunic conversion (a two-piece suit to begin with) which I initially had serious reservations about.  It turned out great to my immense surprise.  Friday I sewed the rest of the canvas scraps up into the smaller sized weight bags, finishing that project.  Saturday we participated in the Inn pre-cook for Cattle Raids with Gwenyth.  Back at home in the late afternoon I whacked around the raised garden beds, mowed the verges and backyard, and Leofwyna finished up the front yard when I'd reached my limit.  At the sewing table I'm cutting and prepping linen coifs for the work basket.  I'll have those and the napkins to work on at Cattle Raids and Battlemoor.

A planning discussion Saturday evening... we're going to go to Battlemoor but will skip Gulf Wars and Pennsic in the new year.  Instead we'll do the 50th Celebration making that a shorter, more economical trip.  New England and Louisiana will have to wait a couple years.  The costs and repairs from the Pacific Coast trip needs to be paid for before we do another extended trip.
Friday we went together to each Goodwill in town to take advantage of the 99-cent sale.  We discovered the store on South 56th has moved and the new location wasn't participating in the sale.  That was frustrating because there'd been things there I was looking forward to looking for.  Results at the other stores were good though, especially two bags of nice quilter's scraps for only $2 each.  When we were out near the car sales lots we drove through to get a feel for sizes and likely prices for a smaller but still powerful van or suv to tow the trailer we want to find to make our camping trips easier.
Monday Leofwyna took me out to Misty's for a really nice steak dinner.  We made some tentative plans for next year's vacation... we're thinking to get to California to see Aunt Jeanne.  Monday and Tuesday I poked about doing little bits of things but mostly spent my time working on the log cabin blocks and when on the computor worked on genealogy.
Wednesday I headed out for Gathering (moot) with my bag of hats to work on.  At supper after I finally got a chance to clarify plans for Battlemor with Sash so now I have a better idea for packing plans.  Thursday Leofwyna took on supper and made a very interesting filling for lettuce wraps, mighty tasty stuff.  I've finally finished my genealogy go-through to 1000.  Now I've begun doing the 900s; there ought to be some interesting personages coming through.
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday I've been out covering the brussel sprouts at night as it's been really cold.  Temperatures are predicted to be good now for another week and with some watering I'm hoping the little buttons have a chance to fill out so I can get a meal or two off these plants before I pull them for the zoo animals.

Wednesday before moot I was talking with Sash and I think I'll be going to Battlemor next August with the apprentice gang to work in the Tailor's booth.  We're having an apprentice weekend this Saturday so more discussion of this no doubt.  Back at home Wednesday I mentioned being in Colorado next August and how about making a vacation out there so maybe Leofwyna'll come out and pick me up for a 'trip'.  (I'm pretty sure she will skip the war camp and just catch me up at the end of it.)

On Ancestry-dot-com I seem to have a problem so work there is slowed until I can get that figured out.  I've been working, instead, on some cutters washing, ironing and cutting.  I have finally cleared the pile of grocery bags full of cutters I had accumulated.  My plastic stacks of drawers are getting full but I need to work through more rough before I begin construction.  And I really need to get focused and look in my stash for purple and gold to get that project begun and completed within the next year as I'm already benefiting from the massages I'm getting in trade for it.
