11am... cloudy and cold but the precipitation didn't come until suppertime. After supper started up the new computer but couldn't get it attached to our wifi so I had to deal with the Tosheba (by putting it up on a cookie cooling rack and running Leofwyna's fan at its back all evening. I did alright with the game link and ZOOM but pulling up my worksheet was a step too far and I got dumped once. We fought with a small troop of large, evil plants and was nearly fought to a standstill. Only flames really did them much harm so I was glad for the Flame Tongue on my sword and Rieke used Curse of Hadar to good advantage. Theron went through nearly all his spells before we were done.
10:45... cloudy and chilly. Out for lunch, gassing up the car, picking up a reserved book at the library (turns out I've already read it) and Best Buy where I bought a laptop on time. Leofwyna spent the evening downstairs working with Isabeau's serger on more feast kits.
Today Leofwyna took the early shift with Bonnie. Bonnie chose this morning to yip and bark in the crate when we tried to extend our sleep time. I had to wait until she was quiet awhile before letting her out for our morning walk. It's terribly cold so the walk got cut short though. This noon was the Wesleyan Costume Library but I skipped it due to the cold and knowing I'd have to walk a distance across their paths; ended up napping awhile instead. Took Bonnie with me this afternoon to pick up the FreeCycle desk computer (70th/VanDorn) he says works fine. Don't know why he passed it on but if it does work we'll appreciate it. Leofwyna feeling punk having annoyed her stomach with the antibiotics she's taking.
Up and out for lunch then to the library for a few sessions. When I got home Leofwyna was gone running errands. I had gaming with DM Agnes on ZOOM tonight so Pepe's adventure from last week continues. Laptop dropped me a few times during the gaming but was able to get back on each time; for a wonder the camera feature was working tonight.
Up and out for lunch then Best Buy where I learned dealing with the laptop 3-4 times more expensive than initially indicated so I didn't leave it. On to the library for computer time then supper and a grocery stop before going home. Leofwyna, herd driver, went to fighter practice. Added to the sniglet top and started horizontal seams. I still need to find four 5.5" sage strips to be able to finish it.
A prettier day, sun shining but cold wind out of the north. Leofwyna out to take Cera to Physical Therapy after knee replacement surgery. I called in my prescription and then NT&T. Turns out while we were on vacation NT&T pulled out of Lincoln so I spent considerable time listening to "wait a minute" music to get switched to ALLO. Out to lunch near 2pm, picked up linen at JoAnn's for herald's scroll cover then to library for a session before heading home. Learned our Internet connection won't be reconnected until we have the "in-house" appointment. The tech I talked to this evening did manage to change our appointment from next Friday to the coming Tuesday which will help.
Thursday > Monday
Apr. 14th, 2020 07:35 amUp before 9:00 to head downstairs on the computer.
Four days later and I'm back. Thursday afternoon the tower died. Saturday Leofwyna bought a laptop; I still don't like the 'mouse' on a laptop. Monday I was finally able to get the laptop attached to the interwebz. Yay me!
During those four days more piecing got done, more jigsaw puzzles solved, and relearned badgammon managing to beat Leofwyna all but one game. The Ford has a flat tire which I have yet to deal with. The Easter Bunny came for a visit.
Finished the Economy top, started and finished a leftover Strippie and started a solids sixteen patch.

Aug. 2nd, 2019 01:30 pmThursday (noon) up and out for lunch and library computer for genealogy then home to the sewing table to finish butting strips and start assembling rows. Leofwyna was gone to music so plenty of sewing got accomplished since the computer wasn't wanting to connect to the internet. The phone is acting up also; can't always get the dial tone. Looks like the house next door (east) has been cleared out and readied for action so maybe we'll finally have neighbors there.

Apr. 13th, 2018 03:02 pmThursday I went straight to the library (skipping lunch) and worked four sessions on genealogy. Leofwyna was busy the day and I didn't have supper responsibilities so I heated up leftovers for my supper. When she did get home and after she took naptime she came down mid evening for tv and I poked in the sewing area getting this and that done. When I got up from the computer and turned off the monitor apparently that was the last of the on/off button as Leofwyna wasn't able to get it back on.

Mar. 23rd, 2018 12:49 amThursday I stayed in and poked around downstairs all afternoon and evening. Today Leofwyna's thoughts were on my gardening and wouldn't I prefer to buy my tomatoes and get potatoes at FoodNet. Hey, I'm seventy so maybe I should give that up too. Anything else getting in the way of the travel? Oh, and right in the middle of QuiltCam the sound cut out and neither set of earbuds made any difference.

Mar. 3rd, 2018 01:58 pmFriday I had told Leofwyna we'd each fend for ourselves for supper. I spent the afternoon at the library computer and the evening sorting in my bedroom. Now I must decide about the colored linen cutters; the whites stay for future projects. Saturday morning I went with Fasti to Best Buy and decided on a computer tower (incl keyboard and mouse); went back with Leofwyna to buy it on her card for points. Fasti will come set it up this afternoon. I'm back at the library computer for the afternoon. Went to Perkins for supper the spent the rest of the evening with tv and sorting/folding plastic bags for recycling.

Nov. 17th, 2016 11:19 amWednesday I made a quick run to the library for one computer session and hurried home to be on hand when the tech came. Turns out they were able to do the fix off-site as the system opened right up. I've got to remember to deal with this right away instead of procrastinating the way I've been doing. Went out and continued working the compost piles. Leofwyna is mowing with the bag and putting chopped leaves in the bin. We had scribal tonight followed by supper at Tandor.

Sep. 26th, 2016 11:58 amSaturday after some computer time at the library and lunch I went home and seriously attempted to get the computer reconnected. I pulled the desk out from the wall, checked all the connections and the power strip and tried opening the computer system... I did this three times thoroughly before giving up and pushing the desk back to the wall. We still have only solitaire and Ma Jong. So I started washing cut cutters... first the last stack from the 'red' box and then a bag full of frippered 'rolls'.
Sunday we were up and out for Baronial A&S at a very nice new (and economical) location. Carlos talked me into helping with the judging so very little quilting was accomplished. Carlos had succeeded in getting a good number of entries including Jane, Leofwyna, Isabeau, Natalya, Gwyneth, Zino, Volkmar(!), Aveline, Ffelix, and Halldora. Zino's very impressive poetry entry was the winner. There were several visitors (I dressed a couple from Gold Key), many of whom were 'self costumed'. At the sewing table I'm cutting the red into strips for another Kronberg top.

Jun. 2nd, 2016 12:55 pmWednesday and the Internet is back. Somehow the power strip got switched off. For a month we had no internet for this reason, Damn! Anyway... I spent the afternoon getting Gerald's pennant bag sewn up, then forgot to take it along when we went to social moot which was downtown this month. After the group supper I picked up the bag at home and ran it over to Rich's although it was too late to catch Gerald. He'll pick it up in the morning. I finished off the night re-hemming the white undertunic I made fifteen years ago. It's holding up very well.

May. 31st, 2014 11:50 amFriday I spent several hours at the library on the computer there. Ilia needed to add to her kit for Lilies and came over to look through Gold Key Friday evening.
