10am... a much cooler and somewhat overcast morning.  Up and out for breakfast then to meet up with Opal for her to carry my quilt flimsies to the gals in Aurora.  Stopped at the Vine Goodwill (blouse, belt) then back home.  Walked Bonnie.  Leofwyna worked in the yard then took me to Asian Buffet for supper.  It rained while we were gone.  At home again we headed downstairs so she could work on flatware cases and I'm organizing the scraps and orphans I still have left.

10am, a bright, sunny day.  Headed out to lunch and once I got home I found both Leofwyna and Bonnie gone for the afternoon.  Leofwyna hit several rummage sales with good results.  Bonnie was bad both ways upstairs before supper (which was rather a fiasco too) even though she'd also taken care of things outside earlier.  Then when we went downstairs after supper AND after taking her outside, she made another puddle, and another when we went back upstairs before we got her out again.  This is annoying Leofwyna SO much, if it were just me I'd probably just deal with it.  While we were downstairs tonight I finished the orphan top to add to the pile that got carried to the car before supper this afternoon, making 24 total (one being a finished quilt I found at a thrift store on one of the trips for nearly nothing).

Monday

May. 30th, 2023 10:32 am
10:30 on a sunny, clear Memorial Day.  Out to lunch.  We went downstairs twice so I did laundry, got the handwork done on the grey outfit and pressed the recent strippie top for Aurora to add to the pile.

Sunday

Mar. 20th, 2023 09:28 am
10:30... sunny, clear day still chilly but promises to warm up.  Downstairs again this afternoon, got kitchen sink finished and on the pile for Aurora   (19).  A quick trip to the grocery store (no corned beef available) and a stop at Don and Millie's for a tuna frenchee.  Gaming tonight with DM Agnes Pepe's group finished up in the caverns and found a treasure chest.  Pepe finally got a magic longsword!  The group got on the trail for the capitol and on the third night was attacked by huge ogres accompanied by numerous orcs and goblins.  The longsword got put to good use but it's a cliffhanger tonight, "Will our friends survive the night?".  Back downstairs and finally folding plastic bags to get them out of the way..

Thursday

Mar. 17th, 2023 12:33 pm
9:15 woke to drizzly, grey day.  Out to lunch then home to continue owl search...  Leofwyna out for music this evening.  I did find enough owl pieces to finish the top properly with five and a half pieces left over... added the top to the Aurora pile (the count is 18 now) Yay!  Pulled orphan blocks for a kitchen sink top... made a few more triple treats and worked on sniglet blocks to include.

Wednesday

Mar. 9th, 2023 10:40 am
10:15 to a gloomy, grey day.  Today is Leofwyna's turn to run errands so Bonnie and I headed downstairs where I finished the second sniglets top and finished up some more four-squares for the Triple Treat.  There's sixteen+one+one in the pile for Aurora now.  I'm thinking when I hit twenty to let Opal C know and switch myself to the Nadelstern projects before I run out of time!  Magmor tonight was a business meeting with a small turnout as the weather was heading to the bad so there was only seven of us at supper, Appleby's.  By the time we were done it was too late for Gerald to get in a nap at our place so he headed on to work.  People are beginning to head out for Gulf Wars, Leofwyna has us heading to Trimaris Coronation at the end of the month.

Thursday

Dec. 23rd, 2022 10:33 am
I woke to the sun today but found the temps to be negative!  Bitter, bitter, bitter; even Bonnie found it awfully chilly going out.  Bonnie's schedule is working for all of us and she behaves nicely when she joins me in morning slumber.  The neighbor east did our drive and walks for us; bless his heart in that cold morning.  Spent the afternoon putting the fourth border on the TOSB comforter and after supper sewing the binding back on.  Also got the Aurora top pressed and edges stitched, ready to add to the pile.

Tuesday

Dec. 20th, 2022 10:57 pm
Bonnie out with Leofwyna again this morning.  I stayed in today, mostly sewing an Aurora top I started yesterday and finished this evening.  Leofwyna started putting together Bonnie's kennel but had to stop until we can get a couple long screws.  I have a gum swelling that isn't going down but getting bigger.  It has gotten really uncomfortable so tomorrow I MUST deal with that.  Towards the end of the evening I got on the laptop awhile.

Monday

Sep. 20th, 2022 01:04 pm
Woke and got up before the alarm went off as I wanted to get the tire taken care of before Leofwyna and I exchanged vehicles.  She has double scheduled herself so asked me to take Cera to her physical therapy today in the RAV.  Wasn't able to deal with the tire but it seems to be holding air for the time being.  When I returned to the house to exchange vehicles a floral delivery from Cera arrived and I was able to take the lovely bouquet in quietly so Leofwyna will have a nice surprise when she wakes.  I continued on to the library for awhile until time to go get Cera taken to her appointment.  After that I returned to the library for the rest of my sessions.  Before supper we went out back and put down the hoses to water the grass seed where the veggie beds had been.  After supper I headed downstairs to finish the two mountains majesty tops for Aurora.  Also assembled a kitchen sink top and got it finished before bedtime.

Monday

Sep. 7th, 2022 12:20 pm
Up and out for lunch.  Was at the library parking lot before I remembered they're closed a second day for Veteran's Day.  Back at home on the laptop for the afternoon and finishing five Big Squares tops for Aurora and starting marking for a couple Mountains Majesty downstairs after supper.

Saturday

Sep. 4th, 2022 03:40 pm
Up and lunch at home then the afternoon on the laptop.  Mike came by with the snowblower (he has it working well) as his grandfather gave him a bigger one to use.  We had him in to sit and talk awhile; he's having problems at the job he found a few months ago and we let him vent some.  After supper I went downstairs to press the Triple Threats and add them to the Aurora pile then pieced two tops from the 10.5 squares... I'll probably only do a couple more Mountains Majesty for which I set aside specific pieces to work up later.

Tuesday

Jul. 13th, 2022 11:13 am
Up and out for lunch, Post Office (ChillWell package left), HyVee (prescription) and home to finish repair on Gerald's cloak before continuing with the second basket weave top.  A break late in the afternoon to go on the laptop awhile before supper.  Leofwyna and Gerald on the laptop this evening so I was downstairs finishing the second basket weave and sorting to start another orphans and leftovers top.

Wednesday

Jul. 7th, 2022 12:51 pm
Up and out for lunch and vision appointment.  It's a good thing Leofwyna brought it to to my attention last night as I hadn't given it a thought since last week.  Went early to the library for a little computer time before the meeting, then supper with the group.  Back at home headed downstairs to finish the basket weave top for Aurora.  There's plenty of 'bricks' left to do another so started on that.

Tuesday

Jun. 30th, 2022 03:19 pm
Up and out for lunch and drop stuff at Salvation Army.  Back at home made phone calls then downstairs to finish the horizontals and add the borders... DONE!  Started smaller stars to continue using up sniglet wedges.

Monday

Jun. 21st, 2022 12:06 pm
Up and lunch then started phone calls. Returned Sharon's call; I have ten tops ready for pick-up. She'll contact Opal for pick=up.  Called ALLO and was able to get the connection to the internet done. Called ChillWell and waited on hold until I had a low battery on the handset so that'll have to be done yet again.  Spent the rest of the day into the evening with Ancestry.com.

Saturday

Jun. 12th, 2022 12:57 pm
Up but before heading out Leofwyna stopped me with a message from Gerald that he needed to do the high work so after lunch and gassing up the car I went to Unadilla for the afternoon.  Learned Gerald had been by earlier this week to start harvesting the east compost pile, which apparently has not really composted.   Toured his garden seeing what has been accomplished this spring and visited the bee hive (he does have a new queen).  It was a pretty afternoon for me sitting in the shade with gentle breezes reading and working on my embroidery.  Gerald was putting in the last couple nails while the trees were trying to brush him from the ladder as a storm blew in.  We both got wet but the work was done but for putting things away.  I headed home and after supper finished the sniglet strippie top and started trim-cutting what was left of the white scraps and colored cut-aways.

Saturday

Jun. 4th, 2022 12:26 pm
Up and out for lunch then on to the library computer for the afternoon.  After supper I finished the second sniglet top and started in on working up the sniglet bucket for the next top using more orphans and leftovers.

Thursday

Jun. 3rd, 2022 01:34 pm
Up and out to lunch, delivered forms to Dr Owens then headed to the library computers for four sessions.  Home by six for my supper while Leofwyna headed off to MagMor music.  I put together a sniglet strippie top with a school days fabric featured and got it finished before bedtime.

Wednesday

Jun. 2nd, 2022 11:31 am
Up and breakfast before heading out to make hair appointment and drop off dry cleaning, then heading across town for library computer time through the afternoon.  Magmor meeting tonight but skipped supper with group and with Donna.  Back at home finished Sniglet top for Aurora and pulled wonky stars to work up to go with leftover sniglet blocks somehow... need to mix 5.5 blocks with 6.5 blocks but time will tell.  Leofwyna made arrangement with Isadora and us to go to the new Downton Abbey Friday.

Saturday

May. 31st, 2022 11:06 am
Up and breakfast before heading out for library computer.  Manuel knocked late afternoon asking could he mow so that got done and we took his number in case we have another gap in lawncare this summer.  Downstairs after supper I finished the Irish Chain top for Aurora.
