Saturday we had Winter War Maneuveres out at the Lancaster event center.  The numbers were pretty low as I understand we had some competition.  There was a rather large contingent from Outlands though.  I had volunteered for clean up at the center but as it turned out the center's people were bored and waiting for the bull-riding event next door to be done later.  They said leave the table-and-chair stacking and the sweeping up for them to do.  We had only to take down the thrones and Natalya's easy-up that was the privey chamber.  Easy-peasy.  We went to supper with Isabeau and Carlos at the chinese buffet.  It sounded like folks were spreading out to several venues which was probably better than descending on one place en-mass.  Although the weather was getting filthy we went out to Waverly for the post-revel birthday party.  Belinda's cupcakes were VERY good.  I think I had four of them but that was okay as there were 200 cupcakes but I doubt there were fifty people present.  Temperatures are bitter cold so Sunday we stayed in and were very lazy.  We did spend the evening putting together a jigsaw puzzle.  Monday I went out in spite of the bitter cold just to get out awhile and we needed milk.  We got another inch of snow that night; less than predicted for a blessing.  Tuesday Leofwyna got out for her seneschal session with Cat and I paid the kid who knocked at the door to scoop our snow.  Neither of us needed to be out doing that in the bitter cold and this child has been persistant in wanting the work.  At the sewing table the sniglets are under control and I'm back to adding rows on the strippie top.
I got the car emptied out Friday so I could bring Will home from WWM Saturday (He's riding up with Killian).  I'm still on an early sleep schedule so I was able to be on site Saurday shortly after ten.  I delivered the eggs to Gwyneth and cut cheeses for inn.  During the event I worked on my [OOP] quilt but I'm getting close to being done with it and want to move it along.  There was a proper court at the end of the day and I got to swear allegiance to the new king.  As site began to clear I went into clean-up mode with a dustmop.  There was plenty of assistance geting all tidy and I finished up vacuuming the meeting room.  Others dealt with the bathrooms and putting up the tables and chairs.  Will and I were back in Lincoln before seven.

The black and yellow fabric arrived six days ahead of schedule, BUT it's quilting weight, not awning weight.  My fault, I didn't interpret the heading correctly  Can I make this work with some duck and iron-on webbing glue?  Maybe.  Leofwyna is gone to Bellview again until Monday with another load of boxes [and Owain's bears, darn it].  I'm boiling five dozen eggs for wwm inn.

Friday I loaded Leofwyna's van and headed up to Fremont in the afternoon.  This allowed me daylight to check the route into site, set the sign from the south, put the sodas and eggs in the site refrigerator for inn and find 23rd Street for eateries and my motel.  Throughout the evening I tweeked their alarm clock until I was certain it would go off for me at 6:15 in the morning, ensuring I would trust it enough to sleep as well as may be possible the first night in a strange bed.  Saturday morning when the alarm went off I rolled promptly out of bed, dressed and headed out to site.  As I rolled into the parking lot at site I looked at the van's clock to see 6:01...  from now on I take my own alarm clock on these occasions.  While I waited I put up the exterior signs, unloaded Gold Key and read.  In spite the too early start the day went very well. At 6:00 when all was done and the doors locked, I was done for and headed home to crash.  It was just to long a day to go to post-revel or even supper with the gang, too.

Wednesday instead of going to A&S I concentrated on trying to get the flyer sent out.  But even at the library my email is messed up so it's not my computer, it's my connection somehow.  I've got to get this fixed somehow.  Thursday I mowed almost the entire lawn, it was cool enough.  I got stung by a yellow jacket again so I must remember to put out the traps early in the spring to get the new queens before they build new nests.  We had two nests this year and I don't like it.
Wednesday's moot concentrated on Cattle Raids but WWM came up and I offered to be 'day' autocrat to take some of the load off PJ.  I did say, however, that I would NOT deal with post revel this time as doing both makes way too long a day.  Thursday morning Leofwyna had a dentist appointment so I planned an easy-eating supper of spagetti.  Later Thursday evening Leofwyna wrenched her knee badly while doing her caulking around the tub so she had to cancel working Friday.  We've had three cloudy, high humidity days so no yardwork has been accomplished.  Haldana has more cucumbers but I had to decline them so I gave her the recipe instead.  I hope this doesn't mean I never see anymore of the cucumbers.
Tuesday I got another thin coat of green paint on two walls in Leofwyna's bedroom to try to even out the blotches.  I'd begun to think it wouldn't help as the wet paint still looked uneven but when it dried there was enouogh improvement to be acceptable.  There'e not enough paint to do the big wall again but there's enough to do the little switchplate wall and it'll be finished.

I've got to find my green spiral notebook as I'm sure that's where the insurance certificate was tucked but it's hiding well enough to have me thoroughly frustrated.  There's still a month to get a replacement copy but I really don't want to call California for it.
Wednesday I took a check over to WSI to reserve the upper hall for next month.  I went to moot and during WWM report requested private funding input for said space.  It was generally requested that we hire the entire building, and funds were forthcoming, so tomorrow I have another task on my to do list.
Wednesday I pulled nearly everything back out of the van and reloaded it with everything I had ready so far.  Leofwyna has definitely said she won't be attending Lilies so I needed to pull her bed out to make room for a third baronial table and perhaps some other baronial stuff.  Of course I got myself out for moot where we were covering post-JAV, Newcomers, Lilies, Cattle Raids and Crown Tournament.  It's going to be a busy summer/fall... especially with my rummage sale and another camping trip added to the mix.  After moot I went with Sash's group to Applebee's for supper.  During moot I had a moment of helium hand and offered to autocrat WWM next January.

Thursday and I've already been out to recycle, bank, library, PETCO, lunch and get gas for mowing.  I got the ground cherries planted and have the water running to soak down the veggie beds.  I'll mow this afternoon and hand out some Gold Key to a friend of Killian's this evening.  Tonight I need to put together project supplies for the week... mostly hand sewing and embroidery stuff, but I do have carving knives and three branches that I may work on staffs, too.  Friday I load up the food, beverage and ice before heading down to Lilies for nine days.  Here's hoping for moderate weather for tthe duration!!!
