Tuesday was a rather laid back day.  Checked for squash at the community garden but the borers appear to have completed their work killing the rest of those plants.  Someone had 'flattened a few feet of my fence.  Either they took what squash was left or no more had developed since I harvested last week.  The shell beans are looking good.  I did bestir myself to clear up some things in honor of Shelley coming up.  Leofwyna did supper though so I had it pretty easy.  She used my broccoli to make my favorite salad with bacon bits, onion and sunflower seeds.  Wednesday was supposed to be a massage but that got postponed so I headed to the south Goodwill (trug, two red goblets, two pkg pens and small notebook) and the library early for some computer time.  There was A&S with Zino telling us about early stone polishing techniques.  Leofwyna and I may be trying some of this eventually.  Some highly interesting conversations tonight were quite eye-opening.  Oh, and a note about a sharp pain in the right hip joint in the night interupting sleep and continuing into the morning was dealt with (a heavy dose of ibuprofin).  Hasn't come back yet.
Sunday I got last weeks' branches cut up and cleared from around the compost piles and the raised beds then I ran the weed whacker around all the raised beds so that's all looking considerably better this evening.  I put ground cloth down around the ground cherries and plan to go get the small tomato cages tomorrow to put in before the plants get any bigger.  I want to catch them while they're still going UP, before they start to spread and harden the branches.  My plan is to keep them off the ground so I can see the dropped cherries and get them gathered easier.  Tonight my hands are aching from all the pruner toolwork but I continued ironing the' cutters for the quilt stash.
I spent Sunday through Tuesday catering to my back.  Mainly I sat quietly with the computer and television and cats.  Those times Leofwyna was downstairs with me I ceded the spot at the computer and sewed on quilt tops, which gentle exercise I considered beneficial to the healing process.  Thereby I completed a sample top for Kronberg and a cute crib top and back to quilt up for stock.  It was a real relief to realize Wednesday that I was back to normal and I headed out that evening for moot followed by supper with the gang.
Saturday I relaxed with tv and computer, not doing anything strenuous at all.  Late in the afternoon I bestirred myself to wash up  dishes and start supper and managed to pinch a nerve in my left lower back.  So I'm moving around like an old-old lady trying to avoid aggravating it.  It's just a really good thing the painting is done!
It's been a week and I have no excuse but pure laziness.  I haven't been accomplishing much and didn't want to confess it here so I practiced avoidance and denial.

I harvested all the rest of the ground cherries when we had a couple really cold nights. So every 3-4 days I'm going through them to sort out and freeze them as they ripen.  It's been a beautiful week weather-wise and I should have been outside in the garden but... I just didn't.  We did finally have rain, beautiful rain so at least wet ground gave me an excuse part of the time.  During this week I've pretty much come to the decision I won't put up the winter garden this year.  I just don't have the 'drive' for it right now.

Once Leofwyna is satisfied with her walls I'm determined to deal with the painting PDQ so we can get this project finished up.  She's bought a paint sprayer so it should go rather quickly once she gives the go-ahead.

Last Monday I put together a big pot of potato-hamberger soup using half of the potatoes from this summer's garden.  Note to self:  don't wait too long before using up the rest as they're not keeping well where I have theem stored and have nowhere better to store them.

At A&S farble Wednesday I took along my sewing basket and got one coif finished.  There's half a dozen in there to finish up.  I'd like to have them ready when we next do largess.  I finally finished the fighter's pennents I took to hem for Crown Tourney.

This week I've been noticing a trigger-finger problem with my left ring finger.  I've been trying to be very careful of it in hopes it can cure up as surgery is Not likely.  Really the first time I really noticed it is when I reach to type a w, 2 or @ and now the finger is just slightly achy most of the time.

Last night I sorted through four bags of plastic... folding up and pressing out air so I can store and use recycled bags for A) trashcan liners, B) aluminum can and recycling bags, C) bags for the rummage sale next spring, and D) only one bag now to take to the plastic bag recycling bin at the grocery store.  Oh yes, we recycle lots; aluminum cans for the cash, glass/plastic/cardboard to the recycle bins, plastic bags for personal use as much as possible then the balance to the bin at the grocery store, and composting for kitchen waste, too.
Being at home again Friday I took it pretty easy as my feet were still hurting from all the walking we did.  I have some sort of issue with my right heel, not in the bone but in the ligaments I think.  There's a pulling from the sole of the heel up the back that limits my stride and I think that's what aggravated both feet this week.

I put the pork I bought earlier this week in the crock pot.  Leofwyna works two days and needs something that can go for her suppers.  We can have this in barbeque sandwiches, or I can make pork and rice if there's any left Sunday for supper.  The last of the brocolli from the garden went into a raw salad with bacon and sunflower seeds as a side with the barbeque for the first supper.
