Thursday morning I headed to the store to see what meat special I could find for supper.  I put the rather fatty, boneless pork ribs I found in the crock pot for the day.  In the afternoon I mowed all three sections of the yard since the weather broke down out of the 90s Wednesday and I know it will go back up Friday.  Shelly dropped by for a visit while she was in town so I woke Leofwyna up a little early.  Supper of pork, gravy, rice, corn and a salad with my tomatoes and broccoli was yumchious!  Friday was a lite day with computer and cutters with Leofwyna off to work.
Saturday was hot and humid and the ground still rather damp so I stayed in with laundry and the computer all day.  Sammy's people came home a day early so I ran over to get Leofwyna's things  since she was heading to work.  Sunday I decided I shouldn't waste the previous relatively dry days and I mowed the ENTIRE yard.  I broke it down in thee parts with rest breaks between.  It was hot (84) and humid but it was finally accomplished.  Leofwyna took over supper duties as she'd found salmon this morning at the Farmer's Mart and so she grilled the fish and made rice pilaf.  Pretty yummy.
Saturday we went to the new Star Trek movie.  It was a very satisfactory visit to the new alternate universe and I'm looking forward to more.  Sunday Leofwyna worked and I did laundry.  As I headed up to bed the thundar storm was just blowing in and rain was coming down really heavy.  Monday when I went downstairs I discovered a quarter inch of water in the southwest corner and spent the next three hours moving stuff, mopping up and then washing the towels.  We have a leak somewhere in the south foundation wall, probably just past where the new and old wall joins.  Phooey!   Tuesday Tom was supposed to come and do some more of the trimwork but he was a no show.  Until he comes and does the closets we can't really put anything away so we are stalled.  Leofwyna hung around home waiting instead of running errands so she's just a little pissed.  She worked it out by putting the dark trim back up on the inside of my bedroom door.  I got the front and verges mowed before putting supper together.  Oh yes, this morning while trying (again) to get the tablet working I got the computer going again instead.  Well, I can live with that!!!
Wednesday I spent time at the library computer lab before heading out to A&S.  Back at home in the late hours I've been breaking down cutters.  Thursday I sorted boxes, moving about a third of them into Leofwyna's bedroom and condensing the rest into a couple neat piles in the livingroom and dining area.  This was mainly done so there would be room for the massage table; I now owe Ingaborg when she next needs something done.  Thanks to her work my shoulders are much more limber and comfortable.  She did a range of motion check on hip and shoulder joints and I did much better than anticipated! Friday after using up my available computer time at the library I headed out to JAV to help set up for Saturday's faire and Saturday I did the same process only helping with take down and furnishing van space for the baronial tables.  I had decided that although I no longer had the dogs for an excuse I still was in no shape (stamina-wise) to do the entire day this year.  A storm blew in Saturday night and is revisiting us Sunday afternoon so the lawn is getting enormously shaggier.  At least the veggie plants are getting a thorough soak.
Sunday I came to the conclusion that the computer at home is going to die sometime soon. Oh, the noises it makes.  Today I'm in the library computer lab.  Leofwyna has said that since we can't do the three week California/Pacific Coast trip we might use those funds for a new computer instead of leaning on Dwolm yet again to deal with our tower problems.  I'm all for that!  Meanwhile I'm still working on the crazy quilt tops.
Some dusting and a few blasts of canned air and the harddrive is sounding a LOT better.  Saturday I got both coats painted on the kitchen walls.
Friday Leofwyna headed out for her errands.  I dinked around a little with the drapery rods in the living room trying to put them back up.  There's a couple pieces of hardware I've misplaced and need to find or replace so I ended up not accomplishing anything.  We went to scribal in the evening.  I'm afraid our harddrive may die soon; it's being pretty noisy these days.
Thursday I washed up a big pile of dishes, ran through several loads of laundry and cooked up a big corned beef and brussel sprouts for supper.  Then we located the thin-profile monitor we bought last spring at the hospital clearance for employees-only sale and set it up with the new-to-us desk computer system.  Now we have Little Sister's old monitor to offer on FreeCycle as we have a more recent one to go into storage as a backup for ourselves..  We need to get the hard-drives from both the old towers destroyed.

Friday I made the rounds of all four Goodwills to take advantage of the 99-cent sale and found 31 garments and 17 Food Stars magazines too. Half a dozen of the garments are for me to wear and the rest are cottons for cutting.  Tonight I'm crashed in front of the tv... not going to do anything the least strenuous.  Loefwyna's called three times making her spring camping plans.
Tuesday and Wednesday I gloried in being able to read emails and blogs at home, then plunged into ancestry.com again.  This was on the laptop as the work is incomplete on the desk computer and the laptop is slower for some reason so I'll have to ask Dwolm about that.  Wednesday evening was social moot and baby Jane's birthday so there was cake and cookies and a good turnout.

When Leofwyna got home from taking a fudge-frosted chocolate cake to Dwolm she had the replacement computer tower he found for us.  It is plugged in and she is reading her email on it so I'd say that's a WIN!
Friday I loaded up the car and we headed west.  Along the way when we got to the Loup River we saw three bald eagles in flight... Beautiful!!!  We went to spend time with our stepmother.  She's always asking why we don't visit more.  So we watched the World Series game with her family Friday and THE football game Saturday.  During all these sports, I made my way through an entire bag of cotton cutters I'd brought along just in case.  Saturday afternoon we were introduced to the new dog, part Newfoundland and BIG, and played squash frisfee with her.  Also loaded up on squashes and beets to take home for cooking.  Pattypan, Acorn, Butternut, Peanut, Sweet Potato squashes... many sorts I'd not encountered before.

Finally, Saturday evening we played some pinochle.  We left Sunday morning so we'd be able to stop and see Uncle Guilford in the afternoon.  The scrabble game with Guilford was won by Leofwyna this time but only by a very small margin.  It was a close, close game all through.   Then Lawayne and Pam showed up and we got to visit with them awhile also.

Back at home we caught up with the kitties and Amazing Race.  The laptop seems to have serious problems so I need to find somewhere to get it cleaned or repaired on the cheap.  Tonight we're delighted to be back in our own beds!
