Up and breakfast. Called in prescriptions to pick up (drive through) this afternoon. After an early afternoon nap I headed out for a DQ shake and HyVee's pharmacy drive through for prescriptions. Isadora brought our milk and bread order... including several packages of hard candies to suck on to keep our throats moistened. I spent the evening working on the laptop while we watched Project Runway re-runs and through the final competition. We were very pleased with the outcome this year. Gerald called this evening to see how we were doing. So far he's got no symptoms which is good.

May. 6th, 2016 02:25 pmThursday was a beautiful day. I started it out with three sessions at the computer and spent the later afternoon procrastinating about digging in the garden. At the sewing table I searched for more small square as I mis-figured how many I needed for the necessary 4x4 blocks. I did not agree with the judges selections for the winner on Project Runway All-Stars but then I rarely do. Who wants to wear ill-fitting bags even if they are covered with interesting paintings?

Aug. 17th, 2012 12:24 pmWednesday I watered the veggie beds. The city has us limited to watering Wednesday, Friday and Sunday which is rather inconvenient so I have to pay attention to get it done and avoid fines. I got out to A&S where I continued hemming coif strings. Thursday I got out in the garage and sorted Gold Key, reducing it to the four totes. I also got some things put away and the last of the sewing stuff boxed and ready to bring back in the house. There's not likely to be a barony sewing day this fall in my garage since it will be full of our furniture during the renovation. While we watched Project Runway I finished a couple things I found in the pile in the garage. I got a white damask (tablecloth) shift and a green linen shift finished to put into Gold Key.

Jul. 29th, 2011 11:20 amOkay, the system here seems to be somewhat back in order and I've finally been able to catch up reading posts, Since it's been a week since I've posted anything I must confess to not having accomplished anything further on my to do list. I did get my camping laundry done right away but the rest of the camp gear is still piled in the middle of the garage. Joe is ready to help me with the new garden beds but the heat and humidity indexes have me putting that off for the time being. The same reasoning has me avoiding doing anything in the garage and since a great deal of what I need to be doing ends up there I've been procrastinating. I don't even need the heat to come down much, but the humidity is another matter.
Early this week Leofwyna and I headed out to take in a movie, went to see the last Harry Potter flick which tied up the whole series very nicely.
Since the mower is in the shop I called about borrowing a friend's mower and he came over and mowed the lawn for me. Not what I had in mind but oh my, so much appreciated the heat index so abnormal. I did go out and whack between the veggie beds though. In the garden my zucchini has squash borer so I doubt there'll be any more production. I'll give it a week to see if anything else sets before I pull them.
Sash called Wednesday and we went to lunch and then around to the fabric shops. I was careful to keep my distance from the quilters' areas to avoid finding something I can't live without. What I don't know won't bother me so much.
Project Runway, season nine, started yesterday. I'm already rooting for Bert.
