Monday I loafed on the computer.  Didn't even have to deal with supper since Leofwyna had an LPN 'do'.  Tuesday I mowed two sections (verges and back) of the lawn before making supper and doing a final cinnamon syrup boil.  Wednesday was philosophy night and I remembered to take the stake pounder for Owain to use for Cattle Rain set up Friday.
Friday Leofwyna's knee kept her home from work so both Friday and Saturday aside from feeding us I loafed.  Well, loafing did include fussing with the sniglets piecing so that's coming along.  I even 'forgot' to deal with the cinnamon pickles so they won't be complete now before Tuesday.  I sent the recipe for them to Haldana so that batch of cukes may be saved.  We got a call Sunday afternoon from Danielle.  She'd heard Leofwyna commenting she wouldn't be working until Wednesday, turns out she missed posting Sunday on her calendar so she's getting herself together for working tonight afterall.  So Ticos and the movie is postponed for now.
Wednesday's moot concentrated on Cattle Raids but WWM came up and I offered to be 'day' autocrat to take some of the load off PJ.  I did say, however, that I would NOT deal with post revel this time as doing both makes way too long a day.  Thursday morning Leofwyna had a dentist appointment so I planned an easy-eating supper of spagetti.  Later Thursday evening Leofwyna wrenched her knee badly while doing her caulking around the tub so she had to cancel working Friday.  We've had three cloudy, high humidity days so no yardwork has been accomplished.  Haldana has more cucumbers but I had to decline them so I gave her the recipe instead.  I hope this doesn't mean I never see anymore of the cucumbers.
Monday I went out to a couple thrift stores, no results.   Tuesday I peeled cucumbers and put 'em in lime water, harvested green beans and hunted until I located a couple items on my "find it by Wednesday" list.
Saturday afternoon I went to the pre-cook.  Sunday we got ourselves up and going in time to catch the brunch buffet at Granite City.  Leofwyna has wanted to do that for ages but with her sleep schedule this was the first time it worked for her.  It was worth the trip and we'll go again someday.  This afternoon I hauled hose around the yard to get grass and trees thoroughly watered.  I spent about half an hour both evenings re-boiling the cinnamon syrup for the pickles.
Thursday I mowed the back yard.  Then while Leofwyna went to her household meeting I worked on the sniglet project.  Friday I mowed the front and verges, watered the veggie beds and helped Leofwyna do some pruning on the maple trees with her new toy.  At a rummage sale this morning she found one of those tree saws and pruner blades on an adjustable eighteen-foot pole and talked it down to $20.  We figure we've already got it's value with the trimming we did today, and all safely from the ground.  I also got day two done with the cinnemon pickles... a drain and vigerous 'wash', a three-hour cold water soak followed by a two-hour simmer in a vinegar-water-alum-red dye solution.  Drain and replace solution with the boiled vinegar--wate-red hots-and-sugar syrup that will be canned up with the cucumbers after next Tuesday.  Meanwhile I need to bring the sweet-vinegar syrup to a boil each evening the next four days and pour back on the cucumbers.   And, oh joy, Haldana sent enough more big cucumbers home with Leofwyna Thursday so I have a single batch to work through which I'll probably peel and start the lime soak Satuday evening.  Fortunately, once the first double batch is completed it can wait in the refrigarator a few days while I complete the second batch and we can can it all up in one time.

MONDAY

Headed out to the library for job searches... having the library close at 5pm last week and this is a pain in the b...  will have to go back tomorrow afternoon to finish up.  When I got home Eulalia had arrived with cucumbers for Leofwyna to make the compost for feast Saturday... compost is medieval for pickles and Leofwyna is MagMor's near expert.  That's what she took Baronial A&S championship in last fall.  One of the former kings was especially enamored of her pickles and required a large jar for war during his reign.

I spent the evening embroidering on the banner and doing some personal computering.

TUESDAY

Leofwyna went off the deep end yesterday after seeing 'garden totem poles' in a recent garden magazine.  She spent around $70 in the thrift stores for clear and colored glass stuff so she can participate in the madness.  After being on call and having to stay home this afternoon she has now at 5:30 headed out to the local Salvation Army to see if she can find more glass before she heads to the store to pick up supper.  This may take awhile.

Sometime during the night Monday our sweet Barkley passed.
