Friday I got up early to feed the puppies and cat before heading out to drive Leofwyna to the hospital for her foot surgery.  And at the end of the day I picked her up again and took her to the house where I was 'sitting' so she's set up in splendor for her recovery.  This has timed out real well for us as she wouldn't have been nearly as comfortable at home with the renovation mess.  This also keeps her from trying to 'do something' when she shouldn't be doing anything.

I spent the afternoon (while waiting for the call to pick up Leofwyna) doing some preliminary work on the Nadelstern project.  I picked a pink 'prima donna' and fussy cut pieces for the point of wedges; I have begun.
Saturday I drove home morning and evening to feed our cats.  A second time cleaning up after Cassie has convinced me it's the Meow Mix canned food that's not sitting well with her.  We'll pass the rest of the box to a friend with cats and stick with the Fancy Feast that doesn't cause the tummy trouble for her.  Leofwyna is getting around fine in her stiff post-surgery boots and is enjoying the Geyer house immensely.  She called for pizza for our lunch and for supper I made a brussel sprout-sweet potato-sausage medley that turned out really well.  I spent all afternoon ironing up the three (or was it four?) loads of fabrics and folding them.  There's surely a lot of 'getting ready' to sew wedges but getting familiar with what's available isn't wasted time.  I do wish I could find my Nadelstern book though so I could review the processes.
