Up and out to lunch then across town to the Lincoln shelter where Scout was already gone but there was Bonnie (Pug/Corgi) in her complete perfection. Got a hold put on her and Leofwyna called to look in on her this afternoon. I stopped at the Apple Goodwill where I found a fripper shirt and a embroidered mesh curtain panel for another Downton dress then on to the library for a couple sessions this afternoon. When Leofwyna arrived at the library for tonight's meeting she said she liked Bonnie too so I can go pick her up tomorrow! Finished up the evening taking the RAV in for servicing.
Up and out for lunch, found ice on the car so climbed in on the passenger side. Gotta remember to park so the driver's side isn't north for the winter. Came home instead of planned Goodwill and library stops 'cause of the cold and it's snowing. Leofwyna apparently out doing errands, I'm going to start some 'thinning'. Started a new bag for stuff to take to the Salvation Army. When Leofwyna got home she told me about Scout in the Lincoln Shelter and I mentioned Belle (another one) in the Omaha shelter so we made plans for Wednesday and Thursday to check 'em out. Spent the evening with tv and on laptop.
Up and out for lunch where some "dark-haired male" paid for my meal before leaving. Can't guess who that would be. Picked up crushed pineapple to take home to Leofwyna before heading to the library for a few afternoon sessions. Learned through email that we don't get Tinkerbelle. I need to call Susan and ask what we need to do to have a chance for a dog. Spent the evening on the laptop and watching old movies on tv while Leofwyna dealt with her cooking for tomorrow.
Up and out for lunch. Discussion with Leofwyna about raking leaves and preparing for Thanksgiving... weather looks good next week so the leaves can wait. Contacted Julie at Little White Dog and she contacted Catherine who called and came over today for our virtual review. We feel like it went well and look forward to hearing from Julie again. Leofwyna had gone for her groceries preparing for Thursday so I put the pots on with turkey backs/ribs to cook and boned them out this evening.
Up and out for lunch then back home to do some more organizing. Told Leofwyna details about interview so between the both of us we got the living area cleared and looking pretty good. Later in the afternoon the ZOOM meeting didn't work out because the camera is off on the laptop for some reason we are unable to decipher (they'll try to arrange an in-home visitor here in Lincoln). After supper we managed a quiet evening with tv and laptop.

Jan. 2nd, 2019 02:05 amTuesday, Happy New Year. We spent another quiet day. I worked on Ancestry in the afternoon and in the evening when Leofwyna came downstairs I switched to the sewing area. I mended my big old bath towel, mended my linen chemise and finished the alteration of Master Gerald's houpeland while three loads went through the laundry. I finished up the night with MQ clue three.
This week Leofwyna is saying when I find my dog we might go ahead with getting it as long as we have a plan for when we travel... I'd pretty much had that all along with Gerald and maybe now with Heather as well since I'll sit with hers.

Jul. 8th, 2018 10:57 pmSunday I was up and out to lunch and genealogy at the library computers. I did get to the animal shelter where they had a white 10-month old female German shepherd-lab I would certainly have snapped up if I was alone. There was a nice-sized Schnauzer that would work if Leofwyna was ready for us to get a dog but not as long as we are still traveling regularly. Bummer. Anyway Buck got to play at the Doerr's tonight when we dealt with twenty orcs.

Mar. 22nd, 2018 12:25 pmWednesday I went to the animal shelter; Camo looks like a possibility so I thought I'd get Leofwyna out to see her tomorrow. Lunch, ancestry.com, Magmor social time and supper with the group. Back at home Leofwyna was grilling me about managing with a dog and it occurred to me she wasn't really on board with the idea so I agreed it wasn't going to happen at this time. Spent the rest of the evening depressed and couldn't get to sleep for the longest time. Ah well, after she's taken on the house payments and all I can't rightly pressure her so 'let it go'... let it go...

Mar. 19th, 2018 11:55 amSunday I plugged in the new and improved tower but couldn't get the internet up so I showered and dressed and headed out to the library for computer time. Went to the animal shelter before going to supper, then gaming (Han again). Back at home for Walking Dead. Turns out Leofwyna figured I'd been successful with the tower, just hadn't hit enough buttons so I sat up a little later than I should on it.

Mar. 9th, 2018 12:42 pmThursday I went to the south Goodwill to check on bags of thread there. Found two bags of thread, two plastic drawer sets (1/2 price), a nice piece of cotton and turquoise sandals. Stopped in at the animal adoption shelter and saw Rita, a perfect black and white aussie-sheltie bitch. Only six months old but so calm and clever. After a couple short library computer sessions I headed home to see if Leofwyna liked what I found. Unfortunately when Leofwyna and I went back to see Rita she was gone. I was afraid that might happen as a nice looking young couple was visiting with her as I left. We stopped at Greenfields for supper since we were in that part of town. Back at home fripping and tv.
