Sep. 5th, 2015 01:22 pmTuesday I ended up 'vegging out'. We ate leftovers, watched recorded stuff and napped. I sought out every Facebook comment I could find re Sash. There were some wonderful, beautiful comments all through the day. Wednesday I stirred myself up and went out to get a haircut before going to Wednesday's social night and supper. Thursday was another coasting day (I have been piecing 1.25 strips at the sewing table)... but Friday we pulled things together and got busy in the garage again. I put up the sunshade and tables while Leofwyna sawed down an inconvenient post and dug up a bush that's been in the way.

Jul. 8th, 2015 11:19 pmWednesday I loaded up six bushels of compost for the potato beds. Unloaded four of them, leaving the final two bushels in the car to unload another day. Showered and headed south for busness moot this evening and supper with the gang.

Mar. 5th, 2015 07:55 pmWednesday I spent the afternoon out and continued to out social moot with supper following. At the sewing table the wonky stars top is coming together.

Nov. 14th, 2014 12:00 pmWednesday Leofwyna headed out for errands so we found our ways separately to business moot followed by supper with the gang. Leofwyna got to tell all her travel stories. At the end of the evening back at home the computer did a dump and freeze so I left it running a 'clean-up' and reload through the night.
Thursday it continues to be unseasonably COLD! I stayed in all day either on the computer or sewing logs and cornerstones to the second cornerstone top.

Nov. 7th, 2014 01:41 pmWednesday Leofwyna and I went together to the largess A&S where we didn't accomplish anything at all despite it being scheduled more than a month ago. Thursday. Thursday and I'm still adding logs to the last sett which uses cornerstones, and I started two new setts trying to use up the 1.25 strips in basket weave blocks.

Oct. 30th, 2014 08:05 pmWednesday I headed across town for the fifth wednesday moot. We had a pretty good turn-out for a simple farble followed by supper at VI. Thursday I finally hit the community garden plot to turn-over and pluck weeds. I was only half done when I lost the light so I will HAVE to finish Friday to meet the deadline.

Oct. 9th, 2014 12:21 pmTuesday and Wednesday since I was up late I woke late too. I don't like this development but can't seem to correct it and Leofwyna is no help; she's doing it too. Anyway, lots of "logs" are getting added to setts (counting the top that is completed, there are seven setts) and the available strips are satisfyingly disappearing from the drawers. I went to moot alone as Leofwyna is busy with her travel preperations.

Sep. 26th, 2014 11:59 amWednesday we went together to 'social' moot, where we had a really good turn out, followed by supper together at VI. Otherwise Wednesday and Thursday has been piecing log cabin blocks and computer time including followin the 'leaves' for genealogy.

Sep. 18th, 2014 02:45 amWednesday was another pretty day and I should have gotten some yardwork done, however I didn't accomplish any of that. I went to check out some storm windows on Freecycle and thought I'd take at least a couple but couldn't fit them in the car and had to leave them behind. I took some of my salsa and some chips to share at Walt Library where we were only a few this week.

Aug. 15th, 2014 03:04 pmWednesday I only got the community garden watered and some tomatoes delivered to Sash before going to moot where final discussions and plans were made for Cattle Raids. I skipped out on supper this time though. Back at home at the sewing table I'm putting purple/gold pairs together.
Thursday in addition to watering the community garden and the lawn at home I straightened up the house in anticipation of the visit of our masseuse. Unfortunately she wasn't feeling well today and cancelled. At the sewing table tonight I assembled purple/gold quads while we watched So You Think You Can Dance and Project Runway.

Jul. 10th, 2014 12:54 amWednesday I headed over to water the potato bed in the community garden. I need to go back soon to cut back the weeds around the edges where the volunteer mower won't chance hitting a vegetable. The Gentleman-tiller was there pulling hose and I got the chance to thank him for tilling for me this spring. I must remember to give him a bag of potatoes when I'm harvesting them. But today, on the chance it might actually rain, I went back home to mow the lawn. It was sprinkling, but it just wouldn't rain hard enough to make me quit so I got two-thirds done before I ran out of time. Tonight was moot and plans must proceed for Cattle Raids coming up in August. We had a big crowd at supper and lots more discussion. Oh, and south Lincoln got more rain but doesn't look like we got much here in the north!
[NOTE] The volunteer mower and gentleman tiller is the same person.

Jun. 26th, 2014 10:50 amWednesday I headed out for social moot with my work basket in tow. Lilies was thoroughly reviewed for those who hadn't been able to go. I stopped for groceries on the way home and learned that HyVee is having renovation problems so there was no raised date bread or ice cream available.

May. 1st, 2014 10:28 amTuesday and Wednesday while dog-sitting with Lucy and Izzie (ant the cat I call Kitty) I worked on the green/cream quilt blocks. It's slow going with the really narrow strips but some major progress is being made. It's been raining but at least not like the storms in the South with tornatos and flooding, thank goodness. Leofwyna came over after moot and we put together a nice little jigsaw puzzle.

Apr. 17th, 2014 11:11 amWednesday I got my community garden plot paid for and stopped in at a couple Goodwills. I found and bought 13 pint canning jars. At philosophy night we discussed 'should laurels enter kingdom A&S competitions'. As Master Gerald observed afterwards, everyone has a different observation and it's fascinating that the consensus is a unanimous yes. Back at home I put the final borders on the 'cowboy' quilt top and added it to the Kronberg pile.

Apr. 10th, 2014 11:35 pmWednesday I went to moot followed by supper with the gang. Thursday both of us put in a couple hours in the back yard. Leofwyna has taken out two of the old fence posts while I vacuumed leaves, then she vacuumed leaves while I turned over the B-veggie bed. Now I'm a full day ahead of my planned work out there, yay! Tonight I'm preparing a rose velvet and satin prom dress for camera booth garb.

Mar. 20th, 2014 12:44 pmWednesday morning I called CROPS to ask about my application. They confirmed they had the application and I'd been assigned a spot near Easterday. The notifications are being sent out this week. I drove by there this afternoon and I'm looking forward to planting my potatoes there this spring and then cabbage and such in the fall. I picked up my framed scroll; really pretty. Too big for the dining area though so it will go in the hall or my bedroom. Business moot cast a broad net and was very productive covering lots of activity over the next year. We had the largest group ever at supper and at my end of the table(s) the major discussion was on dealing with elderly relatives.

Mar. 1st, 2014 12:57 pmWednesday I headed out for Gathering (moot) with my bag of hats to work on. At supper after I finally got a chance to clarify plans for Battlemor with Sash so now I have a better idea for packing plans. Thursday Leofwyna took on supper and made a very interesting filling for lettuce wraps, mighty tasty stuff. I've finally finished my genealogy go-through to 1000. Now I've begun doing the 900s; there ought to be some interesting personages coming through.
