THURSDAY
Spent a rainy afternoon killing time. Ran across a knitting circle at Sutter's Mall that I'm thinking about sitting in on sometime with my socks. I really need to make progress on them and this might be a way. This evening I finally put the design wall back together in the sewing area. Perhaps now I'll be motivated to start putting the rest of that back together after five years.
Five years ago we packed up everything in the downstairs living area because the southwest corner of the foundation was failing and we'd arranged to have it rebuilt. Turned out they did over 40 running feet instead of 25 and that was alarming financially. Thanks to a very good friend we were able to get it done and we have a much more comfortable casual living space. No more flooding in the spring and fewer drafts in the winter. However with all my job foo these past six years I've not really dealt with getting my sewing area back to normal. When I sew I just set up the machine, whip through the task, and walk away. There are roughly a hundred boxes in the storage cum guest room that need to be sorted through and returned to the sewing room shelves or tagged for the spring rummage sale. As I've told Leofwyna, I'm almost afraid to get my sewing room set back up as it might be a distraction from the job hunt so I've been avoiding it altogether. On the other hand I'm wasting all this free time.
FRIDAY
I thought the chilly was supposed to be going away but not yet. I missed making a phone call I'd planned on today so I've gotta remember to take care of that come Monday. I was just bad and lazy all over the place.
