THURSDAY
Today I purely loafed. I gave myself permission to do just exactly what I felt at any moment to do and ended up doing very little. When Leofwyna got home from work we watched the other DVD I'd rented, Wisegal. It was okay. I did strip samples briefly a couple times during the day but stopped as soon as my hands started stiffening up.
FRIDAY
We had a gloreously beautiful, sunny day today so when Leofwyna and I headed out we paused to scrape the ice off the drive. Reports are temperatures got up to 64 degrees. We went to several of the thrift stores in town; Goodwill was having a $.99 sale and we wanted to take advantage of that. Leofwyna found lots of stuff but I only found myself tempted by a couple of shirts and a treestand. We went to Red Lobster for supper to celebrate my birthday. I do love Red Lobster where I can get good snow crab and shrimp. Back at home Leofwyna cooked for Saturday while I ran to the store for a few things she still needed.
SATURDAY
We took Christmas up to Omaha for our little sister. We'd requested wild rice soup and cruditee pizza for the meal so Leofwyna felt she got off easy cooking. We'd agreed to do only a few simple stocking gifts; I goofed as I'd remembered only the we'd agreed to not exchange presents this year since I'm not working and little sister has been unwell (makes shopping difficult). I'd forgotten all about stocking stuffing and Leofwyna was a little put out about it; she takes holiday celebrations very seriously. I'm going to have to think of something special for her sometime this year to make up for this.
On another note I'm delighted that Leofwyna will go to Twelfth Night even if the 'guest' bales as a check went out for feast this week. Hurray!
