Christmas Eve I went to Walmart to get chocks for Leofwyna for Christmas and found levelers too. It was a splurge but I'll be benefiting from the camper and I wanted to show my appreciation and support for the camping schemes. When Leofwyna got in this evening we opened gifts and were both much pleased with the results. Today's purchases were particularly successful. For supper I finished breaking down the turkey so I could boil up the bones for tomorrow's soup. I'd figured out a way to re-whip the mashed potatoes so they were almost as good as fresh. [Dumping them into pre-heated milk and butter to heat and hitting them with the handmixer worked really well.] They went with the leftover gravy, turkey bits and green beans so I could package up the bigger meat pieces for a couple future meals or sandwiches. It was a small bird so it won't last long enough to freeze anything.
Gifts I received were a check from Laurel [I plan to replace my cutting mats], and from Leofwyna a quilting book, a pasta making cookbook, semolina flour, a bucket seat, GOOD led lightbulbs [ to replace the weak ones in the bathroom], a cute nightshirt, quite a lot of fat quarters, marzipane, a gift certificate at a new shop at Union College and more. This year since she isn't working my birthday presents won't be opened until my birthday.
