Thursday the summer temperatures and humidity has arrived with a vengence. Just the same Leofwyna and I went out late this afternoon to get her up on the ladder to trim back the stubs I left in the hackberry and maple trees. Once she was off the ladder and onto her next task cleaning the rock around the mailbox and putting down additional rock, I carried branches into the backyard, stripped the leaves into the compost and sorted the bare branches for garden use, firewood lengths and discard. I'll use some of the straight stuff for bean poles and tomato cages. When we lost the light and the mosquitoes were coming out we cleaned up and went to use the dog-sitting money to have burgers and shakes at Perkins for supper. I'll have no trouble getting to sleep tonight as I'm beat!
