Friday up and out with Leofwyna to Omaha to celebrate my birthday; started with Pla's for lunch, then on to several thrift stores including the Wearhouse. I found a Rowenta Iron at the Wearhouse to try ($2) and a nice pinwheel quilt ($10) at Thrift World that I'll replace the poorly done binding then see if I can sell it or end up using it myself. The rain held off all day until we were picking up our hamburgers in Havelock so we only got a little wet getting into the house. Back home at the sewing table I finished the third blend top for Aurora by alternating the leftover strippie pieces with whole cloth strips in a black/white print Boston Commons style. Turned out looking really nice and I have only a little pile of scrap left to set aside for the next time.

NOTE: Turns out the Rowenta heats up okay but won't stay on during usage; discarded it.
