Sep. 27th, 2012 03:08 amLeofwyna worked her scheduled shift Tuesday and picked up an extra shift Wednesday so I took complete advantage of the opportunity to put in many, many hours tracking 12th Century genealogy. A, B, M, N, O, W, X, Y and Z were already previously done and tonight I finished up the Cs and proceeded into the Ds. Yes, I've done some jumping around but I cannot explain why I selected what fueled the selections. I've also got laundry cleared up and the laundry room tidied.
Leofwyna and I had commented last week on the fact that NQA is holding this year's convention in Des Moines in October and bemoaned the lack of planning for her to be off work, the price of gas and how we really should be concentrating on spakling and painting in the house. Yesterday evening she called from work and said, "We're going! It's too close to pass up," She's off Tuesday anyway due to a class she's turning around for Monday and (due to her odd schedule is off Wednesday and Thursday as usual) doesn't go back to work until Friday evening. The convention begins Wednesday and runs four days giving us a couple choices for day-tripping but she's thinking one stay-over at an inexensive motel might be in order. I'm delighted as I haven't been to a really big quilt show in several years and the merchants area should be truly tempting. Her rationalization is that we're skipping the fall camping trip we'd planned for earlier in the year due to the renovations. This IS at least a much briefer break in dealing with it. Oh procrastination, don't we LUV it!!!
