etienettebluetMonday I worked on genealogy through the afternoon while waiting for Leofwyna to wake up so we could finally celebrate the holiday. We opened prezzies before heading out to Ticos for my birthday supper followed by a movie. I'd chosen War Horse which was a sure thing since it was a Spielberg movie and though the WWI battle scenes were grim the story was a good one.
As for the presents, for my birthday I got the garden thermometer I'd asked for and a pretty transferware milk pitcher. For Christmas I got the slippers and headlight I'd asked for along with a turquoise top, firepoker, wool socks, a box of cotlets and there was a couple new kitty toys for the girls. There was also a new thimble ornament to add to my collection. This one is a tiny bluebird and her nest in a thimble by Enesco.
