Tuesday and Thursday I went looking for Leofwyna's Christmas present. She'd seen what she wanted at Michael's but they were sold out already when I got there. I've been all over town but no joy. I'm going to have to figure out how to make an afternoon run to Omaha, and figure out how to find my way by myself. Have I mentioned North and South are reversed for my perceptions in Omaha and I get lost when I get off the freeways.
Wednesday I headed across town to the social moot followed by supper with the gang at Red Robin. We were a small group but the discussion was lively.
Friday I loaded gold key, tablecloths and signage into the van for Sunday and made a run for Sunday's groceries; I'm going to use Leofwyna's new root vegetable and chicken recipe as my contribution for the pot luck. The weather station was promising a snow storm and I wanted to be ready before it came.
Saturday morning there was a couple inches of snow on top of slush. I was able to use the snow blower to move the rather wet snow but it left half an inch of slush. I scraped down to concrete on the driveway before I hit the wall and had to quit.
Sunday I was up and out in a timely manner and was where I needed to be to open up for Yule Court. It started slowly but picked up and turned out really well. The silent auction did exceedingly well. Ingaborg wont the Bardic Challenge, Saraphina won Carlos' poetry challenge and Carlos won Theron's Sweet Seventeen challenge. Their excellencies announced they would be stepping down in the coming year and letters of intent would be needed for interviews to be done at Twelfth Night.
Today I stayed in working up some more genealogy 'cause I just didn't want to go back out in the COLD!!!
