Saturday Leofwyna and I day-tripped Cattle Raids. I had signed us up for troll shifts and then she signed up to help with the inn so I took care of both troll shifts myself. No problem there, I got to greet lots of friends that way. During the afternoon Master Sashatec took on a fourth apprentice, Killian, so now we three girls have a brother. Boy-howdy, do we have plans for him!
Since feast was for such a limited number Leofwyna and I took along our own supper and took some quiet time (it was a beautiful day for it) to put up our feet, read and eat. We were staying to help clean up the hall and kitchen after feast. There were piles and piles of trays, bowls and leftovers to be dealt with. Washing up was finally finished about 12:30am and we headed for home.
Joe likes the fit of his new green tunic so well that when he left event he left the tunic so I can be sure to duplicate it with the rusty-red linen. Plans for the blue linen is for narrow short-sleaved tunics... I think there may be enough to do two that way and he'll like having them for camp garb. He'll probably want a couple more pair of pants but I think he's got enough tunics to last him several years.
Since Leofwyna was scheduled for work Sunday night she stayed up as long as she could to get back on her sleep schedule. As she slept ten hours through the day I'd say she did very well indeed. I went over three times during the afternoon and evening to let Sami out as we're dog-sitting three days while his people are out of town. We miss Bailey, sweet girl that she was, but it is a lot easier with just the one... and Sami is more cooperative both on leash and in the back yard than Bailey ever was.
