SUNDAY
Ran a few things through FreeCycle today (jigsaw puzzles, paperback books, a couple lamps and a 3-pc luggage set). It was my first time doing the offering and it was kinda fun, if a bit time consuming, to do. Pick-ups proceeded fairly smoothly through the afternoon. It's something I'll consider doing again when I have things to clear out.
After supper Leofwyna rented a couple movies and we watched Will Smith's I Am Legend. It surprised me that she picked this one as she's not usually a scifi fan.
MONDAY
A friend mentioned about a month ago that she wanted to ride along when we went up to Omaha again and Leofwyna decided this would be a good time to do that since she was turned around anyway for the garage sale this weekend and some classes Tuesday and Wednesday. So we headed up early and hit a few World Thrifts before going to lunch at Thai Pepper. Then in the afternoon we went to the other World Thrifts and a couple scrapbooking shops {Leofwyna will be going to a scrapbook seminar next month for her "something to look forward to" event. She's got great plans for her Alaska pictures from this year and other's she's been searching out of storage from previous trips. We finished the day with a stop at Whole Foods for our supper and was home again before full dark.
I came home with a summer top, four jigsaw puzzles, a cotton cutter skirt and a book about gardening on the plains. In other words I was judicious with my spending and still had a good time.
TUESDAY
Loaded up the tables and took them to the barony storage. Then back at home to load up the sale leftovers to take to Goodwill. Oh my, the garage looks big again!
When Leofwyna got home from her first class she'd bought steaks and mushrooms for a last grilled summer meal, nom-nom! She'd also gotten corn on the cob but it was a little too mature and was strangely freckled so we didn't eat that.
