Saturday we were up early, picked up Morgana and went to the Mobley's where we piled into their new van and headed west for a day of antique and thrift stores in central Nebraska.  I bought another Singer 301; Isabeau knew the shop owner and got the price down to only $10 as the control cord and pedal were shot.  The case is the prettiest one I now have and the machine looks good.  I also found a Sunbeam steam-dry iron which is very good as I pitched our iron in the trash last week.  Back at home with leftover spagetti for supper and an evening at the sewing table cutting pink strips for the next set of Kronberg quilts.
