Desert City Adventure
Calim Desert, Near the First Necropolis of Nykkar. (to the North of it)
Bordering into the mountains, the City is build into and on the first mountain of the range of The Marching Mountains. Ready access to the Desert and high arid Plains
My percolating concept is floating toward a beginning in a secluded community of discriminated races. So dragonborn, Aasimar, tieflings, are encouraged.
It is a community of building skills, and developing trade with the wider world. You may be a traveling "redemption" party, working to improve racial acceptance, trade, and politics.

Certainly has to design specialty tools. Dunno that ALL tools, there are glassmakers, stone, metal, pottery., there is a laboratory, you use, and as experiments work, you teach. it's where you were taught. perhaps you have learned glass work, as part of alchemy experimentation (colors, heat resistance, clarity, etc...)
If there is a metalsmith in the party, perhaps you've worked together on improved efficiency refining, or extraction new metals.... (Aluminum?!) chromium (stainless steel) I'm certain one or the other would be high value to dwarves.
