(no subject)

Sunday (11) got 9 hours sleep... and surprise, there was half-inch of snow. The odd little man showed up around noon and offered to scoop ($30) and I felt it wise to accept. Leofwyna called about one to report 3-inches there. She already had the camper closed up AND HOOKED UP. I'd been watching the weather report over an hour already and insisted she leave the camper where it was until the streets were cleared and OMG the hill she was on top of... remember, I said, Des Moines. Our connection was broken and when she called back a little later she said, You were right! Turns out she couldn't make out the road from the lawns and got off the road and lost traction. It's probably fortunate she hadn't gotten to the steep part yet and the trailer is off the road. She opined if she disconnected the trailer she could probably get the van off the grass and would settle into a motel for a day or two. I continued with my usual Sunday afternoon for lunch and evening gaming at the Doerr's... S'awn earned 33 points tonight. I stopped at the grocery store on the way home and now I'm home, waiting on pins and needles for Leofwyna's call tonight.
