(no subject)

Tuesday I called NTT again and got a much better gal who checked the logs and arranged for a tech to come tomorrow afternoon.  I carried the canner and cooler basket downstairs to the laundry room storage, then carried down the dressform and sewing machine too.  We were expecting Isadora to come this evening to work on a project with Leofwyna.  This got postponed later in the day but at least some 'pick and put' was carried out to our advantage.  I went to the library for a couple computer sessions, then to TJMaxx where I found several pair of wool blend socks.  THIS year I went early enough to find them; last year all were taken before I thought to go look and my sock drawer was getting somewhat thin.  I remembered to stop in at JoAnns for an awl and heavy black thread for eyelets in the black velvet Florentine.  I want to get them done so I can wear it to Twelfth Night.  I stopped at the grocery store for lemons (I want Leofwyna to make lemon pudding) and a dozen Granny Smith apples (I promised Arne a crisp for cutting out the forsythia last week).  At FoodNet this afternoon I got a dozen brown eggs, a bag of potatoes, a sugar pumpkin, a hand of bananas, and a sweet potato in addition to the mixed bag which mostly will go to Od.  At the sewing table I'm going through the strips, putting away new stuff and pulling 'shorties'.
