There are so many on the Calonet posting memories of Luci, I actually only got to sit and get to know her some the once at Sash's apprentice weekend a few months ago. A lovely, charming lady but for all that I really didn't know her well. So I had offered to drive Sash if schedules didn't allow anyone else to get away from here. Through the day Wednesday it was still up in the air whether I'd be driving Sash to the funeral service or if I'd still be going to Bobbin 'n Weavin it all cleared up during Moot. Kat will be be taking Sash. My potential passengers for the weekend both had changed their plans but Karina was still looking for a ride so Bobbin 'n Weavin it is.
On the way to Moot I was able to stop by and pick up the transcription work from Rich. I'd promised it for the weekend so I had my day cut out for me Thursday... 6-9 hours with an unfamiliar piece of equipment which, as it turns out, only reverses all the way to the beginning and doesn't forward at all. A nasty piece of work, that, but I finished up about 2am and sent it off before bed.
FRIDAY
Didn't sleep very well. Plans were running through my head what ALL to take this weekend to work on... use van or car... what to fix for potluck Saturday. This morning I decided to keep it simple... no sewing machine, use the car anyway and my usual sausage-bean bake in the crockpot. I can throw things in the car in fairly short order, make a quick stop at the store and still pick up Karina between 3-4.
