SATURDAY

This was Leofwyna's organize and pack day, yes I know she's been getting things together all week but today it's official. We made a midafternoon ice cream run to help Leofwyna celebrate her vacation and give her a break from her tasks. Then later since we don't feel like making supper we went to Golden Corral for ribs. She was still packing when I went to bed sometime after midnight (this is not unexpected on my part).

SUNDAY

It's a good thing I woke up in a timely manner today since Leofwyna mis-set her alarm clock for 8 pm instead of 8 am. With some judicious hustling we caught up with the clock and got her and Natalya to the airport in good time following a lovely lunch at our favorite Thai Pepper in Omaha.

Oh, and we loaded the van in a quite heavy rainfall this morning... I hope the weather doesn't cause them any trouble getting to Fairbanks today. The forcasted weather in Alaska for the next ten days looks wet too, but why should her vacation be any dryer than mine was?
