Took the pile of garb I'd weeded out to the car today and delivered the Middle Eastern items to Barbary to sell. We'll see how that goes. Had a nice long visit with her about what we've been up to before leaving her dance studio to drop some more at the thrift store. I've still got a few pieces that will go into Gold Key.
TUESDAY
Cousin Marlys called Monday to let us know Coleen's husband died this weekend. Leofwyna was scheduled to work tonight so I went alone to the funeral. There was a nice turnout in a sweet little church in south Lincoln I'd never seen before (gorgeous chapel). At the cemetary they had a bagpiper doing Amazing Grace. I asked for his card just in case I ever have cause to need a bagpiper. He was very good and I learned he also has a full Scots kit. Cool!.
Stopped in and visited with Sash about Kronberg as a Cattle Raids site, the trip to Mullen this weekend, Gold Kay arrangements and the new site for weekly baronial meetings.
After a stop at the library for the next 'book' for the car and supper I headed home to finally hit the computer to read my email and blogs. I hadn't been there long when Leofwyna came in the front door; turns out due to some late paperwork she was on suspension for a couple days. No problem according to her, she was glad for an extra day off.
I got 16 and 28 yards of trim reduced from a couple thrift store shirts and ready for the trim box. These are both nice black and white trims, one is 1/4 inch and the other 1/2 inch wide and will be really nice on linen undertunics. And being different from the trim I've already used will be more realistic in my garb wardrobe.
(They're shirts I've picked up after the 50 A&S Challenge so it doesn't count there.)
