Spent a huge chunk of time this afternoon on the phone with the help desk trying to get the computer system to allow me onto the Internet. According to the help desk there shouldn't be a problem as their system showed me connected while my computer indicated not. Finally ended up with an appointment at 4 pm friday for someone to come out and check the modem link. Went out for an early supper and then to CYT computer lab to get on the 'net and get some work done.
When I got back home late this evening, on a whim I tried again to get on the Internet and guess what... here I am. Since we have some terrible static on our phone line which means "water on the line" I'm thinking that's what's messing up the Internet connection so I'm going to talk to Windstream tomorrow about it.
This means the afternoon to do list went completely over the side today... make apple crisp, do dishes, pick up prescription, do passports This really scrambles the lists for the rest of the week. Tomorrow must call Windstream, prepare for Moot and finance committee, do passports, pick up prescription, and see Eulalia about signing her check. That leaves renew license, call Tony, write checks, make apple crisp, do dishes in addition to what was already planned for Thursday. And Friday I know Leofwyna has big plans taking loads of yard and garage junk out to the landfill.
