WEDNESDAY

Ten years ago we brought home a 2-year old dark grey hazel eyed cat who couldn't adjust to the new bulldog that had entered his life.  He was a quiet natured fellow but he appreciated the arrival of 1-year old black Joey a year later.  They were best buddies until this past year when Barkley began to prefer to be left alone by still energetic Joey.  His favorite resting place was stretched out on a pair of horizontal legs and don't let the keyboard crowd him.

We lost dear old Barkley during the night.  He's been fading the last couple months, sleeping lots, no appetite but not in pain.  No interest in canned food even.  Joey misses him and we're discussing looking for a little lady cat to keep him company in a month or so.

Mostly we spent a quiet day... poked around the Internet... broke down a few sample books... consoled Joey quite a long time.  This evening was Moot, reporting on results from Cattle Raids and thoughts for improvements next year, preparations for the Jubilee Reign, and planning for Baronial A&S and Yule Court.
