SUNDAY
Overslept this morning so was a little later than I wanted to be getting to Yule Court this afternoon. Sat with Sabi and Kat awhile as they were sewing and I was loading up the inkle loom. Looked over the silent auction tables and bid on some fabric (and won the bid). Saraphina was wearing the leather bodice and teal skirt I'd passed along to her; she looks a lot better in it than I ever did. She won the bid on Leofwyna's yellow and black Italian outfit in the auction. She's definitely benefiting from our clearing out the closets this year.
I passed on participating in the challenges... A&S finish on site, the ornament exchange and a poetry competition.
In putting together the stone soup this afternoon someone got over zealous and put my cooked turkey meat into the soup and used my stick of butter for something (?) so I put together my noodles and sauce with more of the spinach than I originally planned for a side dish. It worked out okay but next year I write my name on the bag with a big KEEP OUT! on it.
Crigh Mor this year is me! I was called into Baronial court today for our annual big award for service and was given a really special scroll with a beautiful cherry border and all kinds of wonderful things were said about what I do behind the scenes. Doin' a little Snoopy dance here as I'm feeling very muce appreciated. Others called up were Volkmar for Adhoc Or (A&S), __ for Cambroges and __ for Golden Feather. (I wish I had a better handle on the names of the Scarlet Keep kids.)
