Monday I kinda lazed the day away on the computer while waiting for Biggerstaff to come out and fix the AC.  After testing the equipment, changing the filter and resetting the breaker he suggested we get a free estimate for replacement to be 'on the books' if the capacitor/compressor/something gives out this summer.  We may be looking at another $3-4 thousand expense.
